It's important to remember, especially when considering the Encore, that the switch from MasterLink to NetLink is going to be a significant transition and not every product will do everything all at once. It's been said since the launch of the BeoSound 5 that new features and capabilities will be added periodically

Well, if I'm also wrong about the remote not being able to be used two-way with the Encore, and if I'm wrong about the wifi only being used for the NAS and internet, but also being used to stream audio to a wireless receiver a la Squeezebox Duet or it's analoguous counterpart, the Beolink Wireless, I will be one happy camper. I might actually

Oh, I see. For some reason I thought of "BS5" as the combo, because the BS5 is useless on it's own, so a BM5 was needed to make it funtional entity. Now, please tell me I'm wrong on most of the other counts. Pretty please!?

b
Note: The Beo 6 (at least at this point) will work with the BeoSound 5 Encore insomuch as it will issue commands to it. The module that broadcasts content for browsing, however, is for the BeoSound 5 and not the Encore.
Er, do I get this right: This new product, the BS5 Encore (which seems like it iswhat
Seems that servicetoolen used to add serialnumber from the new HDD in the other modules in the BM5.
Yes, probably. It should still not be a problem to swap harddrives. Edit: The part I bolded says that it stores the serial data on the hdd as "a backup" and that it rewrites it every time the BM5 is
When either PCB01, Mainboard (BS5), PCB51, ML-PL (BM5) or PCB01, Motherboard (BM5) has been replaced, the firmware must be updated in the individual module. The ServiceTool is necessary for this operation. ! The serial number is stored in the following places: - PCB01, Mainboard (BS5) - PCB01, Motherboard (BM5) - PCB94

I hadn't actually read the press release when I made the post before, but I just did and thought I'd comment bit by bit. I
Driven by the continuous regression in the quality of our consuming of music, Jarre devised AeroSystem One® with the aim to retrieve and restore the lost sound that has been so meticulously produced in state-of

Reminds me of this Ikea thing ("Ordning"): Seriously, though, that dock is a monstrosity. It makes me think that that sort of product is targeted towards the "hifi enthusiast" - you know, the type of person who spends thousands on speaker cables, power conditioners and are convinced it matters which way the cable is connected.
<But I guess everybody has his media backed up on those shiny, round thingies it originally came on anyway > I do.
Not all of "my media" came originally on shiny-round things. Many, if not most, of the GBs I have are recorded by myself (not much music, mind). It's only the music I have
