Not worth the extra in my opinion. The Sound-smith smmc4 is an excellent cartridge and superior to the original B&O offering.

PL212 is indeed correct, the system will reqire 2 Y splitters for the powerlink cables.

When I have had symptoms like this I have replaced the top and bottom slider mechanisms to good effect. As far as I am aware, the plastic cogs run dry. ie no grease

Early MX7000's used Beolink 1000 remote and later model had their software updated to use Beo4. Details of type numbers etc.should be on the product spec pages of this forum. I have owned both models and the BL1000 one actually said so on the type number label on the rear of the set.

You can't "daisy chain" or "loop" BL8000's as they only have one powerlink socket in each speaker. You can however get a powerlink splitter or Y cable from your B&O dealer to enable you to do the job.

Never found that, oh well you live and learn!

Yes, but if I recall, you have no "store" button and "go" does not work??
-
I never found a way to do this with a Beo4. I think you need a beolink 1000

Sticky is the first sign of foam rot. You should resist the temptation to touch the surround!!!

Interestingly, I had nobby round to see me on Friday (on his way back home from a few days holiday) and he was not impressed by my 5000's! Said he preferred his pentas. His other half said she preferred my 5000's but I could not get her to pay my price!!!
