Jeddy, I have been thinking about your interesting problem As you have talked about your BeoVision 3 having three SCART sockets it means it is a 32" version because the 28" version only has two SCART sockets (VTAPE & AV) Your sockets left to right looking from the back are:- V.TAPE which has the SCART wired with CVBS in/out, RGB in (automatic

Simon, Well, your local B&O store will certainly repair it for you at their standard price. If you are willing to repair it yourself, we can talk about what you need to do it. You could also upgrade it to a Mark 2 as part of the process for a low cost.

This is NOT a mains power problem, so nothing to do with your mains cables. As we cannot check for the earthing problem, the next likely issue giving this type of symptom was actually a product problem from way back which I recall, it was intermittent self oscillation of the operational amplifiers. Given your previous answer about the multi-meter, you

Why not download the software and have a look at it. You can download the software HERE Basically you buy the convertor box plug it into your PC via a USB or Comm's port, decide with the software what you want to convert from and to, then download it to the box, then start using the box in whatever location you need it in.

Jeddy, You do indeed get cables with all the pins in the plug, with some only part wired, in fact it is the norm to have all the pins in the SCART plugs, what normally gives it away is the size (diameter) of the cable. But the only full proof way is to either open the plug or check it with a meter. However, if you have brought a quality cable, then

I think you're find you have an earth differential problem here where the ground (not mains earth) of the TV and the ground of the Beolab's have an AC potential difference greater than about 3 volts, this would certainly cause the type of problem you are describing. Do you have a multi-meter to allow us to check if this is the problem ? Do you

Frank, I don't think I have seen a Masterlink and an Ethernet socket on the one plate, I have seen them side-by-side in a double wall box, but not in the same plate. I think the main reason for this is because of the room needed in the box to connect all the Masterlink wires. If you look at the back of a B&O/Bosscom Masterlink wall plate it

Dave, You can control almost anything via their converter box, almost every device you are likely to use is already pre-define, but you can add others yourself. It comes with very good software which has a lot of facilities

The amplifier with the return path is more expensive at about £70 and the non return path version is about £50. It is true that if you are using Sky and you are NOT using a device like a Sky IR with a non B&O TV in another room then you can use the cheaper version. Having said that if you are doing a installation you may need the return
