Yes it does - BM6500 is identical with BM7000, except that the latter has RDS in the tuner. RDS information will only be visible on the RDS version of Beolink 7000, otherwise you can use any modern remote (Beolink 1000, 5000, 7000, Beo4/5, MCP5500-7000).

Perhaps people just objected with your spelling of Beovision Avant Seriously - you must have one of the earlier model Beo4's. They don't have PC or any of its derivatives (L-PC and so on). On a Beolink 1000, you could send the same command with (TV) SHIFT-STORE, but I'm not aware of a similar trick on Beo4.... perhaps someone else knows
