  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Genesis lastest live album from last years tour. The old chaps can still bash out a decent tune or two (esp. the older stuff, In the Cage, Afterglow, Carpet Crawlers etc). I was so laid back I even made a half decent attempt at the ironing (my half ).

  • Re: Does anybody know why B&O has got such a bad name ?

bayerische: Lab5 are nice, but lacking a good signal source is the biggerst problem. But Lab5's accept a digital input - why pay a fortune for a high quality analogue front end?? (which is then, in effect, reconverted to a digital form to drive the Class D output stages)

  • Re: Buying a pair of B&O headphones, What do you recommend?

I have both the Form 1's and the A8's and I have to say I prefer the balance of the A8's. The Form 1's are very bright (and reveal a lot of detail) but suffer from, IMO, a bass that's much too light. The A8's still have a good top end but also have a bass that better matches. However the Sennheissers and Grados mentioned by Peter

Jandyt: Dave, I can ring King Street on Friday and test the water. If I need to ring you, what is the time difference where you are? It's 20:50 at the moment here. I would say 5 hours behind us (seeing as they're colonials )

  • Re: New BV7-40 MKIII synopsis

Synergy: My BV7/3 went back. The PQ was totally unwatchable on SD.Plus it had a few other 'niggles'. Got me a Kuro which is sooo much better.Combined it with a £150 Pioneer upscaling dvd player and the picture quality is superb! I don't enjoy juggling remotes again though... Selling a TV for upwards of ~ £6K with a suspect picture

Just as well the BV7 is not expensive!! This whole flat panel lark is for the birds until HD broadcasting is the norm rather than the exception - SKY HD channels can be counted on one hand ( and they don't broadcast 24/7). How many folk really spend the majority of their viewing time watching dvd content? I can't imagine spending umpty thousands

  • Re: OT - Broadband router help

After entering the i.p number above you will be asked for a username and password before being gaining access to and being able to change any router settings. These are usually admin & admin , sometimes admin & password and if your ISP is Sky it will be admin & sky .

  • Re: I am disappointed about beovision 8

BartS: I agree with Beoplayer. LCD needs a very good source like dvd or digital TV to convince. Analogue sources make the screens calculate a lot which has a very bad influence on picture quality. With analogue sources i.m.h.o. CRT is to be prefered. With digital sources and not moving pictures the sharpness of recent LCD's is very good, I think
