The new knobs are wonderful and perfect for the job. I couldn't have wished for a better solution. While soak testing, I noticed an increasing hum from the speaker. Slowly growing in amplitude and eventually enough to be quite annoying. A replacement CY2 rectifier valve was fitted which solved the problem. The CY2 was the only original valve left

That's the 1960's Beomaster 5000. It doesn't have the CPU module. Still an interesting ad with a very nice price for that system. Martin Edit: And already gone again, I see.

If the servo motor is running - replace the servo motor belt, clean and lubricate the threaded shaft. If not, there's probably an electronic fault. Grab a capacitor kit and replace the lot and check for cracked solders, especially around connectors and in the power supply areas. Last part requires a but of electronic skills. Martin

Jon, Welcome to Beoworld ! I am not aware of any suitable modern replacements but I can help you to a good used original woofer for your Beovox P30. PM me ! BTW, P30's are not the worst sounding speakers for their size. I have a pair of P45's wall-mounted in my bedroom. Wonderful timeless design. Martin
