Great job, Andy ! I always liked the sound from these Beomasters. Maybe not particularly powerful but rich, warm and pleasant if given contemporary speakers like the Beovox 1000 you are using. Actually, the Beovox 1000 don't even reach the HiFi norm ratings but they do sound surprisingly good. Noise free sliders is a must. Nothing spoils the fun

It could be one of several things then. Most likely the output stage which, in your Beomaster, is one large (and fairly cheap) chip. If this is indeed the case, the repair shouldn't be too costly. Martin

It was a set of Beomaster 5000 Beolab 5000 Beovox 3000 (on homemade stands) Beovox 2500 cubes at SEK 1500 (~ 120 UK pounds) and looking very nice at that. This years bargain for someone. Martin

Der findes to typer "Beocenter controle module" fjernbetjeninger; Een til Beocenter 7000/7002 har taster i tre rækker, der ligner dem på din BM8000, den bør virke. Een til Beocenter 7007/7700 med "fladere" og bredere taster i to rækker, den virker ikke. Martin
