The most satisfactory way of connectiong is with B&O power link cables which have multi pin din connectors. I suspect that these are not the B&O cables that you mention as they have more than 3 conductors. I could just about imagine a system which would work using powerlink/rca adaptor and your existing cables but this would be an absolute last

When you wave you hand in front of the unit, is there any movement of the door mechanism at all and/or does it sound as if it is trying to open? Trying unsuccessfully but failing is indicative of mechanical problem with the sliding track or actuating cables. Not trying or no sound or movement at all is indicative of a problem with the sensors. Dammit

The amber light is a sign that the amplifier has an electronic problem. The sequence of lights is: Red Standby Green All systems go! Amber Problem Try turning off at the mains for a minute and try again. If no lick then I'm afraid it's a service visit.

If you don't want to take the whole towers to the menders you could always remove the amps and just take them. Simple job and only requires a 7mm deep socket or box spanner or possibly just a good pair of long nosed pliers. If I recall Gary, you are somewhere down near Tim. Why dont you contact him through www.beocentral.com

I don't watch films much, usually just general entertainment etc. I have "for sale" widescreen sets in my lounge for pre sale testing but have sold them all!!! If I were to

With newer main products the first two digits of the serial number is the indicator of the year of manufacture. I'm not sure if this sequence holds water for older products but I have always assumed that it does. If 09 is 1994 you can count backwards through the years and subtract 1 from the first two digits. ie. 08 is 1993.

Welcome. By lower level, I assume you mean in another room downstairs? If so, I believe you need a Beolink Active. This would give remote control of the BS9000 from the lower level with independent volume control.

I have had several BS9000's in my posession and none of them has made any noise when the cd spins. Clearly they are not designed to make a noise so this is a fault which your dealer should have sorted for you. He could have his own fixed at the same time!!
