  • Re: help with connecting the whole set!

I would guess that this is a case of Option setting. The BV5 needs to be V.Option 2 and the BS9000 A.Option 0. The speakers attach as you have them and you need to tell the TV what you have attached through the set up menu. Do you know how to option set? LIST and the red dot at the same time and then press LIST till OPT? is displayed.Press GO and you

What language do you want? And which document? We now have both the user and reference manual on in German.

  • Re: beocenter 2200

On all B&O decks of this era, there are three springs that support the deck. I would suggest bending the back one up a little to see if that makes a difference. Most of the decks also allow a ltlle adustment laterally of these springs though I have not taken apart a 2200 to know the limit of this in these Beocenters. There is a releasing nut at

  • Re: How accurate are B&O's claims of bass extension on their speakers?

Well using a different test cycle, Beolab 3s do 40Hz no problem but cannot do 30Hz. Interestingly, CX100s via a BM5500 do 30Hz rather better!!

The file doesn't download properly! Or at least it doesn't on my Mac!

  • Re: Prize Draw - TONIGHT !!!

Just bought a Skagen watch - my Baume & Mercier is being serviced. I love thin watches and the strap is great. Mine does have the most useless date in the world though - I need a magnifying glass to read it! Didn't see it had a date when I bought it!!

  • Re: lack of bass

It won't be the record players - they are very simple and I am sure the cartridges are fine. The only bit of electonics in the turntable is the mute circuit and a fault in that will not give those symptoms. Which 7000? The Beogram 7000 has a built in RIAA but does not take MMC20 cartridges. If the Beocenter 7000, that again has a built in RIAA so

  • Re: lack of bass

The problem is clearly the RIAA you have. The signal from a record player is quiet and skewed heavily towards the treble so it sounds quiet and tinny. You have a fault in your RIAA in the phono pre-amp. What sort is it and does it have more than one setting?

  • Re: Using CX 50s with a Beosystem 10

Yes! And also MS150s and M100s. However still have moderns as well - BL3s and BL4000s as well as some Pentas, 5000s and 3000s! You can use a BG4000 with the 9500 though no remote. However you have to clean the record so remote is not that useful anyway! I use a 4004 with my 5500 system.

  • Re: Beomaster 5000 Phono Datalink Stopped Working

The metal shell should be able to be separated into two halves. I must confess to finding some of the old plugs a bit tricky to pull apart - I have at times bought new ones instead! Worth resoldering all the connections anyway. Pleased it is a cheap fix!
