I also received a bunch of these. I can confirm that they - or at least the first one I connected - do indeed buzz. Not badly, so it will probably need a silent house and a number of these units to be disturbing, unless you mount them on the bed post. IR reception isn't quite as sensitive as "real" B&O AV equipment, but still good

Mine are Beomaster s/n 16543 serie 01 Beolab s/n 66224 serie 02 ...not from the same place, but both are teak (I guess - how do you tell between teak / palisander / rosewood anyway?).

Terve Yes, an MMC4 (or any MMC from 1 to 5) would fit your Beogram 6500, and it is quite likely that the poor sound quality is because the suspension in your old cartridge has failed. If you look closely at the stylus at rest, does it exit the body of the cartridge straight and centered in the opening? The original idea of the MMC cartridges was that
