  • Re: Beolab 7.1 vs Beolab 4000's as center channel

The 7-1 looks fine with a 50" and 65" IMO...

  • Re: In a number of places in the UK obviously.

Based on what I've seen so far in pictures and from this forum, if they added an extra HD connection, and the option for a DVB/DAB tuner, then it would seem like the right TV for me (my Philips LCD is very poor, and intermittantly takes about 3/4 minutes to produce a picture).

  • Re: What is the true added value of style?

The BeoVision 9 won't be outperformed by anything else out there. I've seen top of the range offerings from all the main manufacturers (keep up to date with them as well), and none of them are a touch on the BeoVision 9, feature-wise or performance-wise. Same goes for BeoLab 5s and BeoLab 9s. However, I would rate some of B&O's entry

  • Re: Where do you think the BV7 heading - technology-wise

The BeoVision 7 still has a modified Avant chassis, and the BeoVision 6s had a BeoVision 1 update. However, with the update to the BeoCENTER 6, the internals were basically completely re-designed. The BeoCenter 6 now uses an entirely high-definition digital processor, similar to the difference between a BeoSystem 1/2 and a BeoSystem 3. The new BeoVision

  • Re: Overpriced Junk

tacobavaria: I dont't care what is in, as long as it performs well and lasts. Funny thing for me: Some complain about B&O sound, speaking about frequency ranges from 20 to 25.000 neglecting (rigth word??) the fact that most of us can only hear from 50 - 20.000 or even less. Finally they want to hook up iPods which use 100 - 15.000 Hz... iPods

linder: Bose is always an option! You do realise that the Bose Wave systems don't come anywhere near the BeoSound 1 in terms of sound? BOSE - Buy Other Superiour Equipment

  • Re: Beolab 9 verses Beolab 1

Yes, the BeoLab 9 is IMO, in a different class to the BeoLab 1. I see it as a much more complete speaker, with everything finished off much better than on the BeoLab 1 (which was often a little rough round the edges when it came to sound). As you like club music, the low end the 9s kick out will give you some fun too

tascam: I still think it's overpriced and the sound is poor for the money. These were new unopened boxes, garbage The sound is poor for the money in comparison to what?!

  • Re: Comic Sans - It must be banned at once

Helvetica was first used by B&O on the BeoMaster 1200 or the BeoLab 5000 system I believe, it was a favourite of Jensen's but was dropped at the Beosystem 5000 for something different (but very similar). This Jacob Jensen book is proving to have some useless, but detailed information!

  • Re: Beovision 7 verse 9

There is absolutely no comparison between the BeoVision 7 and 9. The 9 wins from every conceivable viewpoint. You will never find a situation where the BeoVision 7 performs better, even with standard definition, regardless of screen size. The 9 is more than worth the price difference in my opinion, it completely destroys the BeoVision 7 in comparison
