Hi George. You have two issues here. It doesn'y matter how good or bad the battery is, it should still work in the charger. A battery replacement can cost a lot less than having it replaced by your dealer. Have a look at THIS thread, read the whole thing. As for the 'No contact' issue, try removing all components then adding them again.

Fascinating! I thought that the numbers etc were sent via DECT to a Beoline and stored there. Amazed to find there is storage in the Serene dock. Thanks for the info, and I hope your battery lasts a bit longer now. Andy T.

david707: advice was to remove the base from the handset's memory and register it again. Better to remove the handset from the base's memory. Do you have a working handset to do this?
