Wonderful thread as usual from Die_Bogener, keep up the good work ! I haven't done many TV's or VCR's, but I've noticed a high rate of faults to C103 recently. It's a 18nF 630V MKT/polyester capacitor that seems to lose connection internally. Normally, these types of caps are extremely reliable components but for some reason this

Can you replace it yourself ? If the chip in your Beomaster is a STK 463, I have one. Actually, the one I have is a STK 465 but that only means you will get 5 Watts more per channel. Edit: Oh yes, there are some available at Ebay. Make sure to get the correct physical outline. Martin

Hi Bob, and welcome to Beoworld ! The platter lifts straight off. The black subplatter likewise but note the three prongs that fits into similar cutouts in the hub to get it back correctly. The center pin is attached to the hub and does not come off with the platter. If you have a humming sound for each platter revolution (or the speed display is not

Martin, can't you attach photos to your posts (like I do) rather than linking to external picture hosting sites ? I know that file size is a bit limited but I still find the photo quality adequate. Nice piece indeed. I will have to check to make sure but there's a good chance that I have a spare original service manual for sale (in danish) if you need. Martin

Hej Jan, Det lyder super. Svar venligst på min PM med pris, kontonummer osv. Jeg kan selv reparere de fleste B&O enheder. Martin

Nothing involving the front panel is particularly easy in a Beocenter 3300 but, having said that, it's possible to fix most things. The button mechanics will need cleaning. Take the button group apart, dust everything off and put it back together or simply give it a little finger-help and exercise to get it going again. Note the way the white center

You never mentioned recording in your first post... That indeed makes it worthwhile to get a good deck. And I agree with casdave, forget the specs and tech names and get a deck that sounds good to you. Martin
