We Have all you will be able to get - there is a bock diagram and wiring diagram but modern manuals no l;onger have the old PCB layout diagrams. The first Avant manual does but the later one do not. It does list components and does have the wiring diagram for the power supply though. You would need to know what you were doing obviously!

Wonderful deck - the only true B&O cassette mechanism. However incredibly unreliable and prone to chew tapes! Mine has been serviced by about the only person I know who will touch these and needed parts machining for it. It still chews tapes! I would strongly recommend getting either a Beocord 2200 if you want this era of tape deck or a 8004/9000

I really wouldn't bother with the AV7000 - very old technology - only Dolby Pro-Logic. You need an AV amplifier with Pre-amp out RCA sockets and set the BL8000s to line and they will work fine. I would get one that matches the rest of your AV equipment.

Very nice little set and not common. If it comes with the trumpet stand, grab it! I dare say Tim Jarman at Beocentral would like a good photo of it if it is in good condition! He has a number of the B&W sets.

Very nice job. These are good little speakers - a worthy successor to the S45-2 so well worth the effort. Nice to see someone willing to take the time and expense to restore something like these. Rather better speakers than some of the current range!

The crackling sounds as if it could be the actual bass driver. Have they been refoamed? This era of speaker suffered from the surrounding foam disintegrating with time and this will cause the voice coil to be poorly supported and hence the crackle. If poorly repaired, this will continue. You can certainly have a go at replacing the drivers if this is

My Virtuoso card lets me pay off what I want when I want during the interest free period. Not used it for a while - did make the mistake of actually paying a little too much one time! That really messed it up! They clearly thought I was laundering money (rather than just being incompetent!) I was in credit by about £10 and they stopped accepting

Oh, and make sure the switches on the speakers are set correctly to L and R.
