I would imagine not. If being able to display 1080p signals is what you want, then I'd strongly recommend you wait until later this year when a hugely updated BeoVision 7 will be released.

You don't really need to know whether they're 8 ohms or 4 ohms. They're active speakers, meaning you don't need to worry about the impedance. XMax again is something you don't need to worry about, only speaker manufacturers need to know this. As the volume is turned up, the xmax is decreased because a high pass filter is increased

Razlaw: So it will not convert as our Avant does? My understanding is that the Avant upconverts 480i to 480p. You can't do that. Upscaling is turning a lower resolution P signal into a higher resolution I signal.

I swear by Bowers & Wilkins speakers. Get yourself a pair of B&W speakers off ebay, and you CANNOT go wrong. I have yet to hear a pair of B&W speakers that don't impress me, even back to the DM1. I have several pairs of B&Ws, and they give many modern hi-end B&O speakers a good run for their money when used with my Beosystem

joff135: I would not buy a pair of Lab 4s as main speakers myself...but they would be fine as speakers for music in small rooms such as a study, kitchen or bathroom imho. I use my Lab 4s as rear speakers and they are fab for that...but today i was listening to some mid-volume music on Speaker 4 and they sounded great to me. They also cost £1200
