The Avant is able to send RF without an amplifier - the newer sets need one - it is designed to give a stronger signal than that put out by the Avant which could give problems at times (mine is prone to interference from strong external signals). You should have been advised by your dealer that you would need one.

It sounds to me if you have the wrong option set - I wonder if you have it set to option 4 rather than option 6. Try setting it again - TV to standby and then LIST and stand by at the same time. Scroll to Option? then to V.Opt and then press 6.

The problem is actually with the internet connection of the user - if you have a rubbish speed (like mine!) the file downloads only partially and seems to be corrupt.
