  • Re: Beolab 3 or Beolab 9

Razlaw: A little off topic, but any opinions on replacing a Velodyne HGS 12 sub woofer with a Beolab 2? My wife loves the Velodyne and does not want to give it up, is afraid Beolab 2 wont have enough bass. I agree with the others, the BeoLab 2 is much less musical, and has a tendancy of blanking out detail. It also seems to struggle with faster basslines

  • Re: Beolab 3 or Beolab 9

I fail to see how somebody could not be impressed with them! Maybe when first set up, the midrange can sound kind of closed in, but after a very short run in period they begin to sound great...

  • Re: Bumpety Bump

There was a half-hour show on UK TV a while back which was almost all about B&O's torture chamber. Shows that B&O really is interested in the long-term customer experience, as well as the 'out of the box' wow factor.

  • Re: Boelab 9--- "Hi-Fi World" Review.

This was the same publication that gave BeoLab 5s a Five Star review, and spoke of them as being among the best speakers they had heard. HiFi World is the only hifi mag I'd read and actually respect, with Whats HiFI? being at worst.

  • Re: Beolab 3 or Beolab 9

I'd switch to the 9s in the main room personally. Ask your dealer if you can do a comparison, but I think you'll find the 9s really make an incredible difference to your setup...

  • Re: beolab 5

You could completely skip the Nakamichi pre-amp and connect to the CD player to the BeoLab 5s directly. Switching the Nakamichi CD player on would switch the BeoLab 5s over to the digital input, but you would still control the volume through the BeoSound 9000 (I *think*). Roger would be the person to confirm this.

  • Re: Apple TV - Using one with an SD TV

No, they aren't View the first post in the thread to see. There is one there which will convert component to RGB and goes straight into the scart input, as well as carrying audio...

  • Re: BeoVision 7 with 1.920 x 1.080 resolution ?

Although you must remember that the HD capabilities of the BeoVision 7 are extremely limited in comparison to the other current BeoVisions. The update later this year will make it's performance seem like an entirely new machine (which it will be).
