Tom: I have to agree at 100% with your post, Roger. But I don't think that B&O really cares about young people as costumers. B&O really cares about the young people as costumers, an article in a newspaper here in Denmark, it was stated that fewer and fewer young people are buying B&O because of the lack of technology and the high prices

Haribo: Hello, I have one very simple question. Since I have lost my beolink 1000 remote and I ain't gonna change my beosystem 4500(ever!), was wondering if I can control my system over beomaster 4500 with beo 4 remote. Thank you Milos Yes you can, Beo4 was intended as the replacement for Beolink 1000 But if i were you, i would see if i could find

moxxey: Nice! You buy a £9000 TV and we have to do the bug testing for them (whilst the project manager is on his vacation). I had my dealer around my place so often that the walls were getting marked as they kept going behind the TV, the BL9's kept getting knocked etc. I wasn't too happy in the end - I don't really want the back again

kawo: My update was done yesterday. In theory, a downgrade is possible, however, the technical expert of my dealer who did the update, told me, that with the new version of the service tool all old version were deleted automaticly from his PC. hmm.... Karsten My dealer talked to B&O and a downgrade is possible. My dealer is getting a program from

Roger: Well, I do know why it's called 4.24 correction - Unless I have missed something, the correction relates to flashing of the modules and the fact that some BeoSystem 3's had to be updated module-by-module earlier: Now you simply update the H8, then select automatic update for the rest. Nothing regarding the issues we are troubled with

Roger: Around my neck of the woods we have similar problems with crashing. On top of that, the cable box will not switch on when the HDMI is activated - set HDMI to 'no' in the connection menu and everything works fine. We have verified this by testing 3 different BV9's with 4 different SW's, so this issue is not only related to 4.24

halid: That was really bad Weebyx, but I suspected that it would be a problem. The next items I will get is a Wii for my kids and a Popcorn Hour for dad. Do you know if these two also are available in the STB-list ? If I am able to get the update I would like to be as far ahead as possible to avoid similar situations, at least for a few months....

seanklemis: im affriad its not just when we change source its anytime and who knows when, any news about this, are B&o aware its happening with or without the scart lead, if so maybe a little less with a scart connected. The thing i was refering to when i said "changing sources" was the HDMI sync problem, not the "crash to off"
-
seanklemis: i have noticed this also, i have put a makshift scart lead in and it also turns of the tv and a few times HDMI sync fails and i just get a snowy screen, what a fab bit of technology for £0000's of pounds. Yes the HDMI sync fail, is also present, i have only seen it 2 or 3 times, so that i can live with. It is only when changing

moxxey: Weebyx: So i guess it is ALL HDMI devices not using SCART that is having the problem. Incorrect. My Sky HD box is connected by HDMI and controlled by scart, but still turns the TV off since sw 4.24. ??? Damn, this is bad. But is has to have something to do with HDMI boxes, my ordinary cable box, which is only connected via SCART, has never caused
