Oh my god, keep that system and get it fixed! This is a piece of B&O heaven among a couple like Beogram 4000, Beomaster 4400, Beomaster 8000 and Beocord 9000, all TOTL and carrying the same design concept of no-compromise build quality!

Manfred Manns Earth Band - For you from Chance, recorded from Beogram 4000 w/MMC6000 on a Sony UCX90 i had scored at the Salvation Army for £0.10. The Beocord 9000 rocks for this, no noise without dolby. Sweet.

Nice Pioneer stack, that reel deck is some of the best ever made Other "hi-fi" stuff must be the walkman I use when the ipod won't in case of a dead battery. Hello and welcome to Beoworld! Chck the cooling fins of the Beomaster; Are they getting really hot after a few minutes of operation? If they are, the output transistors are running too hot. This can normally be cured by replacing the two potentiometers controlling the "bias". I have had that and dealt with the problem on my own Beomaster 5500

All tape and especially Type II (Chome) will lose a couple of dB in strength over the years as the oxides weaken over time Also, rough transport and many plays can wegde azimuth out of adjustment.

Are those pictures from Fanø (Fanoe, an island a few kilometres from Esbjerg), Leslie? I am living 15 kilometres away from those dunes if that is correct!

Beovox S75's do have a bit loose low-end, but high-end response is way better than my MS150.2's. That will tell more about the 150.2's as the capacitors of 75's are about a year old compared to 28 years of the 150.2's. I like the S-75's at a moderate volume level when the treble response is balancing bass response, though the
