Anyone want to hazzard a guess as to why this servo motor was a tiny bit strained when running one way bit when rotating the other was fine?
Wonderful photo! Do I see part of the insulating(?) wrap around the winding flapping about?
Crazy, sold for 222 euro's (scratched), and shipping costs still has to be added! They cost new 280 euro a pair and with some discount maybe 260.
You only need two people who want it and are both too lazy to make a phone call to find out what they cost new. Similar things that come to mind are Beo4 battery

Well done and glad you like the results! It is sometimes hard to convince people that replacing 15+ years old crossover caps in complex speakers like the Pentas WILL make a difference audible to anybody, while tweaking things like interconnects is mostly just that, tweaking... The treble level is obviously a very personal taste; I was happy with mine
I must be one of the few who didn't like the BS9000 just too big for me (when compared to my iPod ;)
It is definitely the greatest CD changer ever - but I never understood the need for a CD changer. Highest possible points to Mr. Lewis for thinking out of the box though! I think I'll pick the Beolab

Looks like Axel is currently migrating the site into some new webshop - it's a complete mess right now! Don't be frightened by that, it's a fully legitimate and excellent service. Wait for a while until things are sorted, or just send him email if you're in a hurry.

You may be just too used to the sound of the CD50. It's quite different to most other (even B&O) CD players. Some people like it, some don't. Give your ears a bit of time to readjust - the BS4 is probably closer to "truth", if there is such a thing in audio. I don't believe the speaker cables would make much (or any) difference
Does anyone out there know how to program the start up volume for a Beomaster with MCP.
STORE, SOUND
Well, screens are loading in less than 1 second now and I haven't done anything!!!
I don't know how close Ely and Rochdale are geographically, but according to your and Michael's IP numbers you are close neighbours in the Internet topology! This problem could have been something like a broken router

Not over here. As you're both from the UK, it's possibly a wider problem between your isles and where ever the forum currently is hosted (still in the USA, I believe).

I don't see any change... if anything, perhaps a bit snappier than usual to me! Posting takes ages as always.
