Using my iPad now. The new B&O app looks really nice on it.

Sadly, before the update for BeoConnect came out, I had already spent COUNTLESS hours replacing the cover art and cleaning up the tags on every single album from within BeoPlayer. Not something I ever want to do again! For anyone considering purchasing a BeoSound 5, my advise is to spend time cleaning up tags and replacing cover art before the BeoSound

I have the PUC on my BeoSystem 3 controlling my Xbox 360.

This app with the iPhone is what the Beo5 SHOULD have been. With all its versatility, the Beo5 is still just a remote with virtual square buttons. The use of sliding and flicking finger gestures allows for more creative interfaces in keeping with the sense of "magic" of B&O.

As a BeoSound 5 owner, I'm picturing how ideal it would be for the iPad to have a B&O app that would use the iPad to mirror the BeoSound 5 interface. Imagine having the iPad on the coffee table or caring it into link rooms to be able to control the BeoSound 5. One could use a finger to flick throw the cover art on the iPad just as if one were

As a related issue, I was told by B&O tech support that the link room control of the BeoMaster 5/BeoSound 5 via "Beosytem 1 based tvs " (such as BS1, BV5, BV9, and the U.S. Avant) is not possible because the BeoSystem 1 based tvs do not recognize the PC command. The person at tech support said this is unlikely to change because there aren't

I'm sorry. I had misread your earlier post. I had thought that you meant the MKI had no power button. It's strange that B&O changed that.
-
Are you certain about that? I have 3 BeoLab 4000 speakers that I've had for over 5 years and they all use the LED as a power button. Is the MKII ICE powered?
-
Thank you all for the helpful feedback. Do you know how to tell an MKI from an MKII? Underneath the grill, the label indicates Type 6638. There is no indication of MKI or MKII. If the label doesn't indicate an "MK" would that mean that it is an MKI?
