  • Re: New products 2008/09

Make all products more universally compatible! And B&O should start to see more money rolling in. People want a freedom of choice and not buying something from B&O and realized that this can only go with another product from B&O except if you get an adapter from them. Adapter= Signal loss= Inconvenience= Conspiracy theories= Bad Word of

Hey. How about have all loudspeakers to be upgraded to having digital connections and digital crossovers with better drive units? It will give the loudspeakers great versatility and will definitely boost the sales. If the interface with a source like the Ipod will be a problem, then produce an affordable controller with a screen readout to go with it

  • Re: Beolab 4 as computer speakers

Wow Razlaw seems like you got a pretty good deal. BTW are the Beolab 4000s as detailed or did it sound simply richer cos I have a pair too and it doesn't seem to sound as crisp. Also did you get any special converters or third party equipments for the Beolab 4000s to be installed to your computer? Maybe I will get the 4000s for my comp in the future

  • Beolab 4 as computer speakers

Not to babble on about how great Beolab 4s are as computer speakers, but I am just simply impressed by it's perfect balance of functionality, performance and aesthetic of Beolab 4 for computer use. In fact, I think it was designed designed for this purpose only. Just take a look at how the tweeter is angled upwards like how a computer speaker should

  • Re: Strange BeoLab 4 pricing

You know I remember a time when I will shy away from buying stuff in the states because it will always be more expensive than back home but now everything has changed. Now the labels in NYC are way cheaper than in SG. Seriously, I am so glad I will be moving over for my studies next spring.

  • Re: Strange BeoLab 4 pricing

Thanks Razlaw. Beolab 9 is totally lower priced in the states. Say after tax in NYC it will be about USD$ 10890 which is about SGD$14714 and in Singapore is SGD$16200 and USD$11990. Not a big difference but Singapore used to be 'bargain' central, and now everything is just getting way too expensive for no reason cos the standard of living here

Thanks Alex for the reply! haha... What I meant was that the BeoLab9s will be way too loud for my smallish room. Sorry for the awkward phrasing just now.

  • Re: Strange BeoLab 4 pricing

Thanks Razlaw for confirming the price on the web. I am totally gonna get more B&O when I am in the states. BTW are all B&O product prices really low in the states right now in comparison with other countries?

  • Re: Strange BeoLab 4 pricing

haha... I thought the Beolab 3s weren't high-end enough. God I am so spoilt. lol... Anyways I was kinda apprehensive because of the bad reviews it got in the forum. Like "go with the Beolab 8000s instead." BTW. I just read an article from stereophile that stand mounts will most often sound more transparent than its floorstanding counterparts

  • Strange BeoLab 4 pricing

So I just bought a BeoLab 4 PC to be used solely for my Imac. And I must say wow to the nearfield performance. The image is rock solid, right between the speakers and the sound is crystalline. Very pure though slightly sharp at the top. However, the farfield performance is kinda below par which I think it's due to the flimsily built cabinet and
