I just rented Speed Racer today on Bluray ( My excuse is two young boys) and noticed horrible artifacts in the red channel. I know Bluray is generally 4:2:0 color space but this was worse than anything I've ever scene... Even on DVD. I'm watching on BV4 (720p) +BS3 through a Samsung P1500 via HDMI. From a viewing distance of 10 feet I could

You are right. I mistakenly stated that the link was the correct wiring. What I meant to say was that it was the correct "puck" ( as opposed to the one in the previous link). If it still helps anyone I finally found a picture of the correct puck and wiring out of the BS1 Guide.

I'm pretty sure it will work with any IR eye as long as you make the right connections. I've used the BS1 with the newer BS3 IR eye ( in your diagram) with the light sensor etc on it and it works just fine despite having a different terminal arrangement then the active kit eye. AFAIK the eye for the BS1 was the same as the active kit electronically

Handbrake is the best solution that I have found. It took alot of experimentation ( and a lot of internet misinformation about settings) to find a a combination of settings that met my expectations of quality and compatibility. My encodes also take about 3-4 hours but I felt that was an acceptable tradeoff for the quality that I would get vs. the high

Don't have a picture but I can confirm that it does look quite nice. I've got them in the kitchen and a bedroom. Just be careful if you install them yourself in corners. Due to the symmetry of the speaker it is crucial to get the mount placement dead accurate to look right. There is no template and the only way to pre-visualize is to hold the

I'm trouble shooting my Avant this week. We just put a new chassis in to solve the component "pink" picture problem. However the new chassis seems faulty and having even more problems as well. On friday the tech is coming back to determine if it is software or hardware. All that said, the Avant just began having problems with the turning

I have to agree with Alex that I did not care for the new frame until I saw it in person. The new BV4 65 is stunning, especially when paired with the new BL10. The proportions are somehow more appropriate to the 65" panel and it seems very balanced. I'm still not a fan of the more rounded frame design in theory but I have to give credit to

Lintronic is great but might be overkill for something as simple as controlling one component that could be integrated by simply updating your unit. That said, if you'd like custom solutions then I don't think you could find a better solution then Lintronic. Just know that the programming requires a bit of technical proficiency.

I've noticed that when I switch between/to sources with the HDMI inputs (Bluray & AppleTV) there is a flash frame of the source's video, a bit of delay, audio cut in and out followed by a nice fade in of the picture followed by the audio cutting back in where everything is fine. The Apple TV in particular has a hard time with what I guess
