  • Re: Sw 4.24 has now arrived for BV7-40/BS3/BV9

RussR: Beolab: Yes, but it´sad that B&o are using the selling "argument" why the tv is so expensive?:. It´s because of the panel are custom made for b&o and you cant´find it in other brands. And if a brand should use this special panel, the TV set would cost the same or more as the Bv7 etc... Thats all a lie.. And

Alex: I installed it today on our BV4-65 -BS3 played 3 different blu-rays and I cant honestly see any difference between them... I guess I never noticed any jitter before... Casino Royale, Planet Earth and Live free or Die hard were the movies I tested. But the PANEL has to be 24p as well to make a difference. Unless you have the very latest BV4 (a

  • Re: BS3 - DTS-HD??

moxxey: Thanks 355f, that puts things in to perspective. I can also see why people would hold off purchasing a new BS3 (£5K?), when their £270 Playstation 3 supports later standards. My understanding is that we won't be able to upgrade our existing BS3 as HDMI 1.3 is requierd for DTS-HD and that's a hardware upgrade? TripEnglish

  • Re: BS3 - DTS-HD??

moxxey: A question for you all. The latest Rambo Blu-ray DVD *only* outputs audio as DTS-HD 7.1. My Playstation 3 supports output of DTS-HD. So, what's my BV7-40 MKIII decoding and playing back? I have a BL9, 7.4, BL2 combo and the sound is absolutely fantastic with this movie, so I'm unsure how this experience can be enhanced. Playstation 3

  • Re: BS3 - DTS-HD??

beopaul: The BS3 itself will not decode those formats, but practically all Blu-ray players decode these formats internally, and the BS3 can handle these decoded channels over HDMI. In fact there are advantages to the player doing the decoder, so for now, I don't find lack of BS3 decoding a big deal, but would change my mind if future devices came

moxxey: 355f: There are not many dealers making money out of the B&O franchise . The notion that B&O as a company is 'buying up' the successful stores in the UK is of course a complete nonsense. A franchise doesn't need to 'buy' a franchisee out if they break the rules of their franchise. They simply give them notice. Once

RussR: 355f: Interesting one this So B&O use a good quality LCD- which is?? I was not aware that B&O make their own processing chips- please let us know the ones B&O use that are unique for the LCD panels like the bv8 for example?? It can't be a secret that B&O use Samsung LCD panels, or Matsushita Plasma panels. Anyone following

  • Re: BeoVision rant... are you with me?

TripEnglish: BeoBilly, No, not in terms of picture quality. If you want to attribute our picture quality to anyone, you'd better mention our video engineers by name. By combining a good quality LCD along with processing chips, advanced light measurement, glare polarizing screen, etc. they've put together a full system that goes beyond what the

There are not many dealers making money out of the B&O franchise . The notion that B&O as a company is 'buying up' the successful stores in the UK is of course a complete nonsense. Obviously, its not good policy for a company to allow the shutters to fall on so many shops so better to keep some open than closed.

moxxey: joeyboygolf: The major part of the problem is the general very sharp downturn of trade in many luxury goods. Absolutely incorrect. In the Sunday Times there was a big report on this on how 'ultra luxury' brands are bucking the downturn, with wealthy clients spending in a way that laughs at the so-called downturn. Sales are up on many
