I like it a lot also. I think I will plan on doing the same setup. Looks great!

Trip. I hope the music system has a place for me to plugin a Beogram 7000 besides the Beosound 5. I don't want to get too digital!
"Tell him he's dreamin'!!"
There will be a spindle for a wax cylinder. You can access

When you look at the new audio system how it was described in the last years financial report it said that it links to an Ipod or a Beosound 5 system. I 2nd the 2 way remote, but I am thinking they first should spend some time gather feedback what people really want from a BS5. For

Video, Photos and Internet are not displayed on the BS5, but on the TV screen. This is a BM5 feature not a BS5.
OH! A BM5! Now that this confusion is settled... The original topic sounds even more convincing! So, has anyone ordered their iPad yet?
I was able to place

I should hope the Beosound 5 is unfinished. Beosound 5 is after all a computer and those of us who own one know very well there will be periodic updates. I suppose the one thing that I would have hoped the BS5 had is an AUX port. I would plug a Beogram 7000 into it. That sounds like it would be an interesting convergence. I traded my Beosound 9000 for
That sound's reassuring :-) But I've compared the Beosound 5 internetradio with a standalone Internetradio and there are many differences regarding the available stations. There are some stations that I can not find on the Beosound 5 :-(
Therein is the one small problem with Beosound 5. B&O maintains
I'm going to go ahead and stick with the comment I made about Euros having generally better aesthetic taste than Americans. Find a few middle class (like low level white collar cubicle dwellers) Americans and Europeans and ask them what they'd buy for A/V (or just A) if they had, say, $10,000 and it had to fit

My Beosound 5/BM5 is online always as I frequently listen to internet radio. Having a firewall enabled on your router is the way to go. Where I use to work, we used imbedded XP and never had virus problems.
Re: the differences between the US and EU market... I suspect you'll find that the average middle class person in Europe is more likely to buy B&O than middle class America. The Europeans have, frankly, better aesthetic taste and also tend to live in smaller dwellings where the combination of size and sound are

I ran the software update function and got a complete 100 percent download. The update was loaded and the system restarted normally. I looked at the release notes which said the update is about controlling Beomaster 5 from linked TVs to display photos and album art. My Beosound 5 is a stand alone system which is running normally. I thought this link
