  • Re: BeoSound 3

tom: Henry: tom: I have one too. Use it mainly as an alarm clock. I listen to it with A8s, as I do not want to wake up SHMBO lying next to me. In the morning, I like the snooze function of the timer. SHMBO? She Who Must Be Obeied Oh! I thought it meant S he H ates M y B e O . Could not believe it could exist. I feel better now. Yann.

  • Re: Advice requested: opinions on plasma/center speaker placement

Hello Todd, No doubt option 2, but... I would consider another option, which would be to put the BL 7.2 on a stand on the top of the low cabinet and move your BS9000. The beauty of BS9000 will be enhanced if you place it away from your video setup. Why not on a floor-stand? You have less wires to hide, which means more freedom for placement. This also

  • Re: une colle : DD multimédia et MX5500

Bonsoir Christo, Pas simple, ton affaire.

  • Re: BeoLab 6000 as rears sufficient?

Hi Saf, You are right, my BV5 is one on the first ones, based an an Avant chassis. One of it's chips has been changed to incude BL5 in the speakers menu. Of course, when listening to a CD, only BL5 are used (they are linked via SPDIF to my BC2) and I get a great sound. What I wish to enhance in my post is that, in the cinema modes (3.1 or 5.1 DD

  • Re: BeoLab 6000 as rears sufficient?

I keep thinking that the internal speakers of BV5 have a lot to do to deal with BL5, as they are basically BL2500. Just have a look: On the contrary, the BV9 has a real center speaker, as it is meant to be the heart of a home-cinema setup. Yann.

  • Re: BeoLab 6000 as rears sufficient?

In a 5.1 or 7.1 setup, BL6000 should be sufficient. I had a pair of 6000 as rear in the past, they did their job quite honestly. In the cinema mode, don't forget that rear speakers are far less important than the central one . Rear speakers are there to produce a surround sound, with sometimes a located effect (e.g. a plane coming from front-right

The WOW effect is still alive in Struer! To visit B&O factory was an old dream, and all we can say is that reality was far better! Thank to Gitte, for her warm and friendly presence , Thanks to the engineers who spent time with us and gave us sharp technical explanations on the "why" and the "how" our favorite toys come to life
