SHIFT - STATUS should display the clock. Do you have a two-way master, that sends the clock data? Stefan

If I remember correctly, select a favourite list, select a song and press GO long. Now different functions like REMOVE should be displayed...(?) Stefan

I would keep the BS9000 as audiomaster. You can configure the BS5 as "no audiomaster". Now you have 5 audio sources: CD, RADIO, N.MUSIC, N.RADIO, A.AUX. Price is fine, if it is in mint condition, including all cables, table stand... I love my BS9000 too, and since two years I love my BS9000 AND my BS5. BS5 (and MOTS) lets you listen to music
I have 2 BS3 units in my house and I'm connecting one ML gateway to each of them throughout my local area network.
I guess, the dealer told you that you need two MLGW for a stereo setup ??? Sorry, but I have no idea why to buy two MLGW. It should be possible to connect both BS3 via masterlink and add one

The BC 9500 was my first audio system - 22 years ago... I still have it and I still love it. I bought with a BL5000 that I also still own and it`s working great. Today the system is located in a linkroom as a local source connected to a pair of beautiful Beolab 5000 blue. I also added a Beolink 7000 with the original wall charger/IR eye. To make the
Thanks! My dealer is telling me that it does not matter what software the 3000 has, that the 3000 can never be used as a local source and that there is no software version that will allow it to be used as a local source. If I am understanding what you are saying option 5 or 6 would allow it to function as a local source

No. BV7 just delivers a close/open contact. This contact - there are two actually - trigger the Lintronic box, and the box will control all your cinema devices via a macro incl. the popcorn machine. See the Lintronic instuction manual. Stefan

I don`t know how much the hammer fee is, but about 300 euro for a mint Beo5 (if it is mint..?) and an IR eye is a good deal. Beo5 s are selling on ebay for about 300 euro here. btw - I have a Beo5 for sale... Stefan

The IR eyes are the same. They are both for receiving 455 kHz B&O IR signals. But the one with the 5 wire cable got additional control like volume up/down, power on/off. The 3-wire version is just an IR receiver with 5V-, IR-signal- and ground wire. Stefan
