  • Re: The BeoWorld Awards 2011

Well said Nigel! I neither want to vote or be voted upon. Probably why I did not take any notice of the original announcement of the awards, if indeed I saw it.

  • Re: Price for Beocentre 2500

The problem is that nobody plays tapes any more and the tape drive makes the thing look old fashioned. If it has a radial laser, B&O service will declare it obsolete, should it be necessary to send it to a service centre for repairs. As far as I am aware, the kit to replace the radial with a linear model is no longer available from B&O. Obviously

  • Re: Beolink 5000: will it work with Beosound 1? what other remotes?

The Beolink 5000 is such a fragile and therefore unreliable device that I would only consider it if it was free. Get a Beolink 1000 if you want a low cost, reliable remote. Drop it and it will dent your floor but not break. Definitely the easiest to use. Get a Beo4 if you are more afluent but it wont perform any more functions than the 1000 and will

  • Re: Help: sliding doors Beosound ouverture

You will definitely need an external aerial. One for FM and another for AM. There is no aerial inside the Ouverture.

  • Re: Help: sliding doors Beosound ouverture

There are no speakers in the Ouverture. You must add a pair of external Beolab speakers. The doors are a press fit into the sliding brackets. Suggest you disconnect from mains before fitting doors! Make sure the doors are fitted according to the orientation instruction on the inside of the glass!

[quote user="9 LEE"] [quote user="joeyboygolf"] Do you really think that changing to yet another CEO is the answer??? The marketing and development departments need to identify, develop and bring to market, the next generation of "must have" products and that will NOT be achieved by the latest occupant of the "captains

  • Re: Beocenter 9000

This is a well known problem. There are any number of threads on the forum which describe the cure, which involves replacing C2103 on the CD servo board. Use the search facility on the forum. Type in C2103 and you will find a number of answers.
