I have had both Pentas (still do) and MS150s and have used both with a BM7000. I like Pentas - they sound effortless and go very loud easily. The treble is not their strong point - it is less lively compared to say 8000s and certainly less that the ALT speakers, but part of this is the positioning of the tweeter half way up the speaker. They sound better
B&Os problem is that they need to produce a headphone, but it's not a market where their style means a lot.
Oh I don't know! I remember using my A8s on an Air France trip and at the end of the flight, I was stopped by a particularly attractive air stewardess who said she had noticed the earphones and

Fitting should not be too bad - the roof is domed and is accesible via the loft. I aim to mount them there rather than in the walls as the walls on 3 sides are about 2 - 3 foot thick stone! John Humphries should sound even better - using the MW section of a Beolit 700 at the minute as the FM section is on the blink!

I suspect the speakers don't like having two different inputs. The normal set up would be as you have but no speaker connection to the Ouverture, just ML. Instead, you would use the Ouverture via the Avant and it would then play through the 6000s or both the 6000s and the 4000s if you press Speaker 4 on the Beo4. The BV5 will use all 4 speakers

BV1s have arrived - being fitted on Monday - pictures and listening impressions to follow.

Recognised fault in the Beosound 4. There is a fault in the PCB6. The fix is to replace this board and I would be surprised if your dealer is not generous with this. It was fixed in later models. It is a software problem related to the PIN mechanism. The part number needed is 8 345029 .

If it is S80.2, the answer is slightly complicated!! The S80.2 is a good speaker - however the bass unit suffers from foam rot and almost always needs repairing. The capacitors in this model are also likely to be in need of repairing. The pair pictured here were mine and required both new capacitors and new foam surrounds. They were actually given to

Very difficult to feedback if we are not sure of the model. There should be a label on the back with a T number on - this will tell us the model. A picture would also help.

I have moved it - I guess the model is an Avant - soundlike the VCR has developed a fault - a common problem in the earlier models.
