Phil, Good, well the following additional questions come to mind on this one:- You say it is intermittent, but does it happen a lot after you have just switched the set on, or is there a period of time before it starts? You say its seems to be coming from behind the brushed aluminium plate, can you please clarify exactly where you think the buzzing

Is the Beovision 3 working correctly other than the deep buzzing sound, in particular is the picture perfectly correct ?

I think you should read the thread started by Peter which said News has reached us of a further addition to the ever popular BV7 range. With the BV4 now starting at 50", there is a gap in the range and a new even larger screen is being readied. It sounds as though this will be Full HD and will be Beosystem 3 based. A still larger BL7 - the 7.3

If we are going to be totally correct with the Materlink wiring/plug, then the masterlink socket actually has 5 connector pins spare on a modern B&O product. All wires are used in the B&O standard cable, remembering that pins 9 & 10 are used in the product, but are NOT wired to the Masterlink cable.

No, he is not suggesting that Video is now wireless, just that you now have full (or nearly full) Masterlink control which you previously did not.

There is a BeoLiving guide available from your dealer which shows how various lighting configurations can be setup. There is also a more technical document which is aimed at installers

There is no service manual only a user guide and I have never had the need to take the base part. What is the problem you are trying to resolve ?
