If he has, my recommendation is that he bins it and gets a beolink 1000!!!
-
Set the volume you require at start up and then press SOUND, STORE, STORE on the remote
-
I can't find the lock code but if I remember correctly it is cancelled on standby or disconnection.
-
Can you prize the doors apart manually? You should be able to. Do this with the mains disconnected. If you now connect the mains do the doors close? The lubricant in the door mechanisms does dry out with age and it does not take much friction for the doors to stop working. I use silicon spray on a cotton bud to relubricate. The doors cannot be opened

Quite correct Peter, just wanted to see if you were concentrating!
-
Sorry, got it. SHIFT / A TAPE Your technical advisor was having a Saturday morning moment!!!!

Any one know how you achieve A Mem on an old Beo4?
-
The stand always goes to the centred position on standby. The only way to change this is to put the mounting plate on crooked!
-
With a Beo4 you need to add STAND and STORE to your list. If you press GO with stand on the screen the double arrows will move the stand and select STORE and GO to set the position. I've just tried it with my MX6000 so should work with the 4000

If you have beolink 1000, press picture when the TV is on and you should have stand displayed in the top left hand side of the screen. When stand is displayed then the arrow keys will change the orientation of the stand and press store twice when the tcv is facing in the correct direction.
