Marcus, Yes, I am sure. Like Germany, the UK uses GSM900 and GSM 1800 and the USA uses GSM1900 for GSM mobile phones, hence my comment about tri-band phones. When I travel to the US I can use the same tri-band as I use in the UK. However the question related to DECT which is 2.4 Ghz

Actually DECT transmission frequency is 2.4 GHz everywhere and is not 1900 Mhz as previously stated. 1900 Mhz is the frequency assigned to US GSM mobile phones. If the previous owner had a B&O TV connected to your 6500 system, then your option settings are likely to be incorrect. In other words the IR receiver detection has been switched off in the 6500.

What you are hearing is almost certainly EHT discharge normally tracking because of dust/grease and general dirt. If this is the cause and I would say its most likely, then do not allow it to continue, I suggest you disconnect the MX5000 from the mains, leave it to fully discharge for an hour, remove the back and use a vacuum cleaner to remove as much

Your question in my view is a very good one, because most people think Bluetooth is a standard so should work with any other bluetooth enable device like the Earsat2, but this is not totally true. If you mean, the to be purchased hard disk recorder is going to be in another room about 6 metres away, the distance could give you some problems
