I seriously doubt the BeoVision 8 comes with a backlit Beo4. They are very expensive, and only given out with BeoLiving packages as far as I'm aware...

TheMajor: Ok first of all I know its a beosound 1 and not to great. But I am ungrading from 6500 that my dad gave me a longtime ago, There have been a few posts recently of people not liking the BeoSound 1, but actually I think it's one of B&O's strongest products. Definitely not poor - unless you compare it to a 6500 system which is a little bit unfair

The BeoVisions are the best picture on the market! Shame you didn't get a chance to see the new BeoVision 8, similar picture quality to the BeoVision 7 (better in some respects), fantastic sound and design, and at a price which competes with higher end Sonys!

There's nothing like flaunting a big CD/DVD collection! I've got too many CDs at the moment, they're kind of piled lazily on top of the racks! B&O did actually make some racks at one point, and still do. Are you talking about the one they have in Bath? I'm not sure if they're available any more, I doubt it... I believe that at a cost, you can request to have a device added to the BeoSystem 3's controller list, but I may be wrong. What Blu-Ray WILL give you over normal DVDs is better definition and a HUGE increase in 'depth' on the image, it feels much more 3D. I haven't seen HD DVD yet, but I have seen other HD sources such as SkyHD and even stuff I've downloaded

BeoSound 1 = £950 for the entire system in one box BeoLab 4s = £900 for just the speakers & amps, no CD player or radio, plus larger boxes to play with. Not really a very fair comparison..

If you had a BeoVision with a DSS module, you'd be able to make use of the sub, and the B&O system would do all the filtering etc... for you I believe. You already have all the speakers

Bear in mind that the Apple TV's HDD can be easily upgraded (although it voids your warranty), plus you can install your own software, codecs and 'Backrow' (as the software is called) extensions.
