... I see evidence that the motor possibly may be trying to make tiny, slow movements to move the stulus slightly further in... Exactly ! The tonearm is moved towards the record, just full speed ahead - no counting. When a record is sensed, the tonearm is positioned at the record edge. Then a pre-decided further amount of pulses is counted at a slow

Dial string is always fiddly. A steady hand or four, lots of patience and coffee is what it takes. You can find instructions in the Beomaster 2000 service manual (page 7-1). It's very similar to the Beomaster 3400. The manual is available for download for silver and gold members (well worth it for the small membership fee). Martin

Hi Peter, Welcome to Beoworld ! Just wanted to make sure that you put in a 40 mA (rather then 40 A) fuse ? There' will be a problem in the logic control of the amplifier. A bit hard to diagnose "per remote" but if you have a multimeter and a bit of electronic knowledge, we can guide you along a bit. If you are not sure this is a task for

Hi Jeff, I can confirm that the slider parts are unique to Beomaster 3000 / 3000-2 and Beocenter 3500. Slider parts from other machines won't fit. F.e. a volume slider off a Beocenter 4600 will be too wide and have an orange streak rather than green. The lettering is also wrong and the balance slider is a completely different size. Martin

No reaction from the panel ? (Check panel ribbon cable connectors to the processor board) Did you check using a remote ? Martin

Nice Chris ! Yes, more photos ! Martin

The problem will not be in the STK chip since it has no influence on the volume. I seem to remember that there are some small ceramic capacitors near the processor that often cause much headache. Worth checking, I think. Martin

OK. Der er en besked til dig ! Martin
