I would assume that new batteries are required. Worth changing them before you go any further. The beo4 is fairly bombproof apart from falls onto hard surfaces and people spilling suff into the keypad!! Oh! by the way, welcome to Beoworld.

The shape of the contacts on the charger was changed.

I don't think the displays will work with the adaptors.

I would not recommend glueing them back on the main unit. There is a danger that you will get the glue in places that you don't want it! I lever the clips out with a screwdriver one pair at a time and it has always been obvious exactly where they go. Don't remove the old glue as you will also remove the black paint from the glass. Simply stick

I'm sure that I've read 60 metres somewhere but I can't find the reference now. Just found it on www.beotech.co.uk and it's 100 meters

I use epoxy with good results. In the UK it's called Araldite Rapid.
