  • Re: The original Beolab 9

Don't like this design, not a touch on real BeoLab 9s which are beautiful...

  • Re: Pimp my BV5 ... daring mod

The aTV can decode h.264 I think, and I've seen it playing HD - it's certainly capable of very very high quality video. Read the thread in the Mac forum about connecting an aTV to an SD TV, and you'll see how it can be done very easily...

  • Re: Making a new extern filter for the bl2....

The issue might be that the BeoLab 8000s won't have a steady roll off below 55 Hz. If you use a BeoLab 2, B&O will have taken this into account with it's crossover design and hence the bass will be more even (I believe the BL2 will begin to roll off at around 80 Hz). It would be interesting though to see what you can do. If you do make one, make it

  • Re: splendid!

The 6000s are great for movies though! Without a BeoLab 2 however, quite limiting. All in all though, photo shoots are not about the sound quality, more about the design! Shame B&O don't do a wall mount for the BeoLab 2. That would be really funky (but difficult to do).

What do you mean about performance? Agreed about design though - stunning!

  • Re: Beolab 2 vs B&W PV1

I haven't done a side by side comparison, but the PV1 does sound better. More detailed, and better at following fast basslines. BeoLab 2 goes louder/deeper though.

  • Re: BeoLab 3 or Beolab 8000

The BeoLab 3s at low to normal volume levels will give you deeper bass than the 8000s. At higher volumes though, the 8000s will take over. I personally prefer the 3s to the 8000s, although that's just opinion. The BeoLab 3s definitely are more revealing and 'forward' to listen to (they seem the play the music at you, rather than into the room which

  • Re: BeoSound 4 - HiFi credible?

I would agree with you, but if you only use the PowerLink outputs, I reckon the BeoSound 4 will give better performance...

  • Re: BeoSound 4 - HiFi credible?

Actually I thought the BeoSound 4 was a step ahead of the 3200 in terms of radio performance. Can't say I've noticed much difference with CD, as you say, only demonstrated with BeoLab 4s which are pretty hopeless in terms of a 'decent hifi demonstration'. When I compared the BS4 vs BS3200, it was BeoLab 4000s vs BeoLab 3s being driven, but with the

I don't understand. That photograph looks photoshopped? Grey text looks better IMO though.
