Alex: joeyboygolf: there aren't many of us proper audiophiles on this forum! I agree - not enough Penta owners! Don't forget Alex, I've got both but I keep selling the Penta's. What does that tell you?

I personally don't believe any of the modern B&O cd players sound any worse than any other and certainly not a reason to not buy any of them. If there are technical differences they are not obvious in the sound produced through any of the B&O speakers that I have ever had. It has to be said that your chosen speakers have an enormous effect

I don't believe that you can choose inputs at all. The powerlink input is a relic from the past to enable use with non ML systems, where you want passives in the same or another room. Allows you to run passive speakers from say a BC2300 or 2500 like MCL2P or the ML/MCL converter.

jandyt: Hi Ruud. You must have a special Beo4! I have about fiteen Beo4s and I have never seen Battery on the display. Jerryatric, If it was fine for the last 18 months I wouldn't mess with the programming. Just whack some new batteries in. Bet that restores it to it's former glory. Welcome to Beoworld, glad to see you went for gold Andy T.

Alex: ruudvdklauw: Welcome on the forum. The beo4 shows on the diplay when new batteries are required. Does it? I've used Beo4s which have died as soon as I've pressed a button, but they show nothing extra on the display. Am I missing something? Me too!
