I must admit to checking the site out twice, but only to look at the BeoSound 6 which Henry told me about! I was quite pleased with how well I managed to stay away from the net...

Have you checked the fuse in the actual plug? They need 13A fuses if you're going to play it loud... Also try swapping the speakers round.

You should just be able to configure it with no centre speaker, which would be better than speaker 4 in the meantime...

Another thing to think about would be the positioning of the speaker. If in a corner, the bass can be boosted hugely, also if there's a reflective nearby which the sound could easily bounce off from the speaker towards where you listen, you would be amazed at the difference it could have.

Maybe my BeoMaster 4400 just needs a looking at, but I prefer my 6500! Still surprised me just how good it sounds though, it's more musical than my 6500... Haven't heard an 8000, but the 6000 was very impressive! A friend bought one over in France and bought it back to the UK (cost him €25!). Very easy to listen to, and pretty outstanding weight!

pf85: I just saw it at the B&O store over the weekend. Underwhelming, just don't like how the speaker is integrated. I prefer the design style started with 7-32 or 7-40. But the 7 costs the same as 3 BeoVision 8s!

I know it's not their market, but it's a shame they didn't release the studio version, I'd kill for something like that. BeoLab 9s would get mashed up pretty quickly in the studio (it's not exactly... civilised when I get into a recording session with my band :D)
