Mk3 have a small triangle moulded on the plugs

I have both at the moment. The 3000 are probably warmer and more "easy listening" while the CX's are more cold and clinical. Depends what type of sound you like in that particular situation.

Agree with above although isopropyl alcohol probably better than meths as it leaves no residue. The first thing a cd player does when you press play is search for focus. If not found it will not spin the disc. That is the reason for cleaning the laser lens before doing anything else.

Peter: Tricky! Cartridges deteriorate with age as the suspension gets harder.It will probably be fine and you could get over £200 on eBay. (just for the cartridge) Agree with Peter. If the cartridge is OK, sell it separately on ebay. With good adverts, you may well get over £200 for the cartridge and £50-£100 for the deck.

Although soundwise this deck will be fine the AUX on the 9000 does not implement datalink so remote operation will not be possible as standard. I don't believe that the ridax accessory will help in this instance. Could be wrong though so I suggest you send him a PM and ask.

The other problem with this socket is because it's designed for a graphic equaliser it is spurred off the circuit before the volume and tone controls. This means that it is not volume controlled.

9 LEE: Okay.. I can confirm the draw will be at 9 o'clock in the evening tomorrow, which is 21:00 hours using the 24 hour clock. wonderfulelectric: What I meant was it doesn't require as much regular cleaning as the others and doesn't malfunction as often as the besound 9000 because it is less complex. The Beosound 3200 doesn't have a good harddisk recording system. It records everything very compressed so the sound will not be as good as from direct from cd. Beosound

I bought some Lab penta cartons about 3 months ago. I was told that only the Lab carton was available. Not sure about the poly packing though. Suspect that is not available. The part numbers should be in the service manual on this site.

I've just sold a Beosound 4 after testing it extensively before sale. I noticed no sonic differences between it and a beosound 9000 when played through the same set of Lab 5000's.
