  • Re: Masterlink issue

Ken, Well, taking into account your answers I would say you are correct in your assessment of the core problem. The Masterlink works on a token ring or key principle meaning after powerup one product (device) will have ownership of the key and assuming the Beovision 7 has ownership of the key and you press CD in the link room then a request will be

Well, it could be a MasterLink issue, but it could also be option setup, nevertheless I think we need to understand a little more about the actual symptoms. I am assuming that the Beovision 7 and the and the Beovision 6 are in different rooms, please confirm ? Also, you say a CD is linked to the Beovision 7, what CD player do you have connected to the

You can download the Beoport/PC2 software HERE The file is normally called Beoport.exe but because the forum blocks all files which have a .EXE extension I have renamed the file with a .xxx extension. So when you click the link and it asks if you wish to RUN or SAVE, press SAVE. After it has been saved to anywhere on your local hard drive rename it

  • Re: BeoLink PC2

From a hardware viewpoint Beoport and PC2 are the same. The only issue is if you were unlucky enough to have a very early hardware version of the PC2 there was an issue in updating the firmware, however at that time B&O replaced such faulty units. Fundimentally the introduction of Beoport was marketing exercise to bring it in line with other BEO

  • Re: Serene and bluetooth in the car problem

Piet, Whilst you are able to update the Serene firmware, there is no update for the Bluetooth spec. The software version can be checked by entering *#1234# on the mobile phone. The latest Serene firmware version is FI1 which appears as the last three characters displayed.

  • Re: Serene and bluetooth in the car problem

Your problem is caused by the fact that the Serene only supports Bluetooth versions 1.1 & 1.2 The latest Bluetooth version being used by some mobile manufacturers like Nokia is version 2.0

  • Re: BeoLink PC2

You can just plug the Masterlink into your Beoport/PC2 box and download the Beoport software from the B&O web site

  • Re: dvb-s kit into bv-5 (8903)

Marc, I guess that you are in the UK because you have a Beovision 5 type 8903 which is a first generation PAL I version. This kit and its instructions are only clear if you have been down this road before and you know that the kit covers more than one type of Beovision. Also, the instructions do state it in very small print that your software of the
