Interesting project and excellent idea but I think you will be a very long time selling 1000 units. Suggest you would be well advised to consider basing costs on 100-200 units.

Well done Lee, only recogniseable as mine because of the pin sharp focus! I really must get that ******* camera sorted. It's a Fujifilm S3500 but Brett has lost the manual. I'll try and download one and see if I can fix the problem. The camera is out of warranty so it's probably knackered!

You should aim for a gap of 2-3mm between the record and the non moving aluminium surface. No more than 3mm. Remember to check with the playing arm at the edge and the centre of the record, it will make a difference. Leveling the platter is a bit of a balls aching trial and error job I'm afraid. I don't see any problem with the KEF speakers

Well done Keith, this is much better than the miserable attempts that I sent in!

Maybe the electrons are sort of learning their way around the circuit. Perhaps every set of speakers should be supplied with their own map......bit like the London Underground Map with the cicuit all picked out in different colours......would save the little blighters getting lost for the first month or so!!

beomasterdc: Does anyone have a user manual for the remote mains switch type 4001? Found one! I have a type 4002 complete with instructions!!!! The instructions are for type 4001 and 4002 so if you PM me your preferred email address I'll scan it and send you a copy.

Peter: Actually I agree in a way with 355f! I suppose I would define the looks as more than just that - ergonomics would come into it - but the vast majority of B&O equipment can be outperformed by cheaper products from other manufacturers. Whether these products will last as long or be built from such good materials is another matter of course

If you have a Beovision Video Terminal or "Mars Bar" remote then it won't work. If you have a Beolink 1000, when you press MENU on the remote, what do you get on the screen? If you don't have MENU on the remote try SHIFT then TEXT You should then get 4 options, one of which is SETUP where you should be able to tune the set.

Sounds you may have an early 7000 with beolink 1000 software, I can't tell from the numbers. With the tv on try pressing GO TO and then ^. It should then start searching up the tuning scale.. When it finds a station with good reception press the required channel number and STORE, STORE. Do the same for the other channels as required.
