  • Re: Best sounding receiver?

jandyt: Not far off mate! Frede confirmed that they were ESL 63 made by Quad. I presume they were from the same era as the Beolab/master5000. Thanks for the link anyway. Andy T. The number afterwards is the year they were made in, so 1963!

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Bloc Party - Blue Light Silent Alarm is one of my favourite albums at the moment. Very smart rock music

  • Re: Problems with Beo4

ruudvdklauw: Welcome on the forum. The beo4 shows on the diplay when new batteries are required. Does it? I've used Beo4s which have died as soon as I've pressed a button, but they show nothing extra on the display. Am I missing something?

  • Re: Speaker cables - Beosound 9000

meandmyshadow: While Alex is in the main correct, there is no need to OPTION program the BeoSound 9000, if no speakers are connected directly then it will default to OPTION 0. Mybad! These danes are smarter than you think, they've thought about everything! ;)

meandmyshadow: Alex: To increase the lifetime of the battery, run it down to as close as you can to 0%, and then charge it all the way back up in the charger. Try to avoid charging it at 50% or 70%. Running it all the way down, and then charging it all the way back up is much healthier for the battery, as with most devices such as iPods, Laptops and

  • Re: How best to connect a MacBook Pro to a Beovision 8

You can actually do DVD with the Apple TV, but it involves ripping the DVD, and doing it at high quality which can take quite a while! Ripping a DVD at 2,500 kbps H.264 2-pass on my MacBook Pro with Handbrake takes a day, although I'd imagine the

  • Re: I finally did it... I now own a MacBook Pro

soundproof: As for my MacBook Pro - Apple in Bristol are just looking at it, and we're looking for a replacement! I bought mine when they first came out, which was a big mistake. Never buy the first version of anything from Apple. Took me dozens of buys to figure that one out. I'm pleased the US will be ironing out the problems in the iPhone

  • Re: Speaker cables - Beosound 9000

Connect the BeoLink Passive to the BeoSound 9000 via a MasterLink cable (your local B&O dealer should be able to help with that), making sure you also have an IR sensor on the Passive. Then, take a B&O remote control (assuming you have one), and pointing stright into the BeoSound 9000 which should be in standby (with the BeoLink passive unplugged

  • Re: Interesting Phone

Looks like an interesting concept, except I don't expect B&O would let it look like a oversized tamagotchi!
