My 4000 also clicks, both in music search and when playing normally. Also, I am wondering about any of you having the issue of inner groove distortion? The deck has been serviced and equipped with a retipped MMC6000 with shibata diamond. The arms are parallel and it plays fine normally. I have also encountered same issue with the platter just spinning

Found a fine little Beomaster 3000 with original remote for 12£ last week. It is now being used at my girlfriend's with a pair of Beovox S-35's and a Beogram 8000. Definately not a B&O cassette deck. @0:02 the writing "double capstan" is visible. Only one B&O deck had that and it was the top loaded Beocord 5000

Wow, a great deal you struck there! The speaker output problem is fairly normal, my Beomaster 8000 #2 does it on speaker 1 Left and speaker 2 right. I suspect it to be dirt which creates a bad connection in the speaker selector switches.

Quite a deal came to me today, in fact one of the best deals I have ever made. Though a Danish "craig-list" I found a Beomaster 3000 in pristine shape and with the Terminal 3000. What did I pay? £120? £75? No... Just £12!
