Genuine B&O, and rare because they were only ever offered to Beoliving customers. I think they came out around the same time as the Beo5 (or perhaps just after), and were offered as an alternative to one. They have a "cinema" button in the top button section for Beoliving.

I know the tweeters are the same as those found on Avants (oh, and lab 6000/8000, probably others too), so I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case for the bass drivers also!

Haha! That;s alright then! My cousin is a fellow B&O nut so we kind of trade/swap/look after eachothers stuff. My missus is pretty much completely indifferent - She is oblivious to pretty much anything electrical!
-
Haha! Something like that! My girlfriend is... 'tolerant'
-
I'm sure I am not the only one that suffers from the above! Why do we do it? Why is that that I can't resist buying classic B&O, even though I don't have the room, or use, for it? Typical example being my latest acquisition - a Beogram 4000. Wanted one for years after missing my old 4002 - this is fully working and in great condition
-
I have one I think - PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post if I can find it. Thinking about it, I also have the matching BC4000 going begging if anyone wants to collect from Leicester!
-
Thanks so much! I'll post up some pics when it's fitted!

For two way, the MCP5500/6500/7000 are easily the best for functionality, and are a joy to use! (this is a moot point since they are NOT compatible with BC9500!) 7000 is the coolest, such a great piece of design. Totally over-engineered and a ridiculously convoluted solution to a problem which doesn't really exist, but for this reason I love it

Message sent! Thanks Stonk! I had a look at the eBay seller but he didn't seem to have any refurbished radios, just ones that are in good condition - I might send him a message if I am struggling. Thanks for the link :)

Marchlands - Spooky new ITV drama features a Beovision 6002 in the "1987" house. Funny, since it is more of a 70s TV! It's nice to think that they had to use a '77 B&O TV in a programme set in '87 to make it look current - A testament to B&O design I would say, an MX or LX would look far too modern!
