I was just wondering if people on here have any other make of stereo's. Do any of you have valve equipment? Im tempted to get a little valve set up for a bit of fun. Or how about any of those monster sized Japanese things from the 70's and 80's. Don't ask me why but for some reason I quite fancy one of those massive amps with all the

It would be nice to see them with a 5000 system again. Large got in first so he did get first dibs but if he decides against it, then their all yours.

No probs. That was quick!

First of all its not those Beovox 3000, Im not that generous I have a pair of 60's Beovox 3000 that came with my BL5000 system and I am never going to use them so wondered if any members on here want them. Free of charge. They are perfect for a 5000 system, smaller than the massive 5000's and have the connections on the back for the 2500 cubes

My main system thats actually in use is the one in my avatar. The 900RG Compact supplies the record deck source and also the AM radio for listening to the cricket. It just doesnt sound the same on digital radio! A CDX is used for CD's. Acanthus, if you ever need a house sitter for a year or two, keep me in mind. Lovely place you have there.

Theres really not much difference at all. Price-wise, there should be no difference. If you are looking to buy one, I wouldnt be concerned which one you get, just get the best cosmetic condition you can. They are very reliable with the exception of the switches on the front that oxidise but a bit of contact cleaner or normally just some use and a bit

Is it the 70's one (very complicated but beautiful) http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=356 or the mini BM8000 type from 80's. http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=358 I have the 80's one and I think I actually prefer it to the BM8000. Partly

Same on mine. The left hand side gets slightly warm to the touch. I also stack mine with the amp at the bottom. Some original pictures seem to have the amp on top and some show it with the amp on the bottom even in B&O pictures so maybe they diodnt know which way to stack it either

S120's / MC120.2's sound very good connected to a Beolab 5000. I now have Beovox Pentas and these sound great as well, I only changed to the pentas for the looks not the sound. I would go for one of the bigger uniphase speakers or pentas really. I like the idea of Beovox panels with it though. Remember that there is a good chance that what ever
