joeyboygolf: IR cable 15m white with din plug prewired is part number 6270668 Apparently excess cable should not be cut off. Use the full length and wind excess up. Don't understand why, may be impedance related? Hi, I looked into this one a while back and it is rather a strange story:- 1) The standard 5m IR cable for Beolink Active and Passive

Hi Geoff, Yes, this solution is workable. The thing to remember is that the output on the Powerlink sockets varies with the master volume, so you need to increase the volume until you get a suitable output level. Just be careful if you have speakers connected to the other Powerlink output! There are also differences quoted in the standard DIN and RCA

root: I am about to replace the cables on a pair of BeoVox 2500 Cube Tweeters. So can anybody tell me what length had the original cables and what type of plugs they had? I want to have close to original spec, found these on ebay - they should fit? Hi root, As the seller of the eBay cables you found, I may be able to help. Frede is quite correct (as

Hi Mika, Ok, maybe not blue (although I do admit to liking this, despite the fact it is already becoming a "retro" choice!). I suspect that just about any colour of LED would be better than red to go with this colour scheme. LED technology now allows almost any colour of visible light (including white) to be displayed from one element, using

Nice! What a shame B&O didn't go for blue LED displays in the 9000 and the corresponding white speakers - this would have given a really distinctive finish. Whilst I applaud the styling of the new range, the lack of internal modifications does annoy me, as a little extra effort could have made this a REALLY desirable special edition. I know

Hi Andy, There is a common fault with Beomasters of that age, where the relay that mutes Speaker 1 can fail, causing a loss of sound on one or both channels. I always think that the Speaker 2 output gives a better quality of sound than Speaker 1, even on Beomasters that are not faulty. I use Speaker 2 for my main room output on my Beomaster 3500 and

Hmm, The Beomaster 2000 (c. 1986) in my "retro" office has a proper control dial under the lift up panel for radio preset 5 - this is nice and tactile, a good 3 inches in diameter. Could this be the latest use of this type of control? Steve.

Hi Paul, Welcome to the forum! I think you will struggle to connect the Century to anything, as (from memory), I don't think it has any input sockets. The Century is best considered as a portable, stand-alone music player, rather than part of a linked system. As your BeoVision 3-28 has a couple of Powerlink sockets fitted, this would allow your

Thanks Christian, The Beosound 9000 looks good in white (as does the BV9), but not sure I'm convinced by the "robotic penguin" Beolab 9 in white.... Best regards, Steve.

Hi Phil, Sorry to be picky, but mark 3 cable is fine for all ICE Power (Digital) Beolab speakers except Beolab 5. I agree with everything else you said! Best regards, Steve.
