I do not know of any way to use eLyric to power off the Beosound 5. I use the Beo 4/5 to turn off. I have Beomaster 5 appearing in my eLyric as an option for both server and renderer.

I am not very familiar with MOTS as I do not use it. I just tried it on my 5 however. I pressed GO and seemed to work. It played a series of songs that all seemed similar. Also, the MOTS symbol appears. Have you tried adding MOTS to the list function on the Beo and activating it with that? Also, I think there is a setting in the Beosound 5 to disable

All I am saying is I am unable to predict the future, perhaps you are. But, I do not think any of us truly know what technology will be around in the future that may make Airplay obsolete. And that new technology

I u derstand that. But who knows what Apple will come up with in the future. There is no guarantee that there will not be hardware changes.

And if AirPlay were built in, what happens when the inevitable Apple changes/updates/improvements occur and the built in AirPlay is obsolete?
