Geheel juist, en omdat het verleden heeft bewezen dat de toekomst voor een 'breedschalig gebruik' van deze techniek nog wel jaaaaren kan duren (hier) kun je vast nog wel een flink aantal jaren plezier hebben van een goede crt-tv. De tijd tussen de (uit-) ontwikkeling van de techniek van: kleuren-tv, cd, breedbeeld.....en het breedschalig gebruik

....en als het echt heel goedkoop moet: het is oppassen ivm de buis-problemen maar als je een goede oude T8111 tegen komt (voor onder de 500,- inc beo4) dan is dat nog steeds ook niet verkeerd voor weinig !!

A new tube for a 28" (100Hz type 8300) avant is around 550,- (B&O price) so i think 1500,- for replacing a 32" seems rather 'overpriced', try inquiring at B&O Netherlands, Naarden (if they still exist: i remember them as good, friendly and honest people) also for a price. To my knowledge there isn't any cheap replacement
