  • Re: Alternative to the 7-40

From what I read ( and past posts ) B&o screens aren't what they should be or could be . I had done some sums and if you add the price of a quality brand X screen to a BS3 your about the same price , was going to use the BL7-4 anyway , the only way to save a few pounds is to use a cheap display . I might drop down to the Bv7-32 as the 40 is

  • Alternative to the 7-40

What' the best alternative to the Bv7-40 , I cannot justify the price tag for a less than perfect Tv ? I was a whisker away from ordering one but after going to PcWorld for a cable I was distracted by there Tv's , superb picture ( Starwars ) and a 50" for £999 , don't know what SD picture is like on it thou , but the 7-40 isn't

  • Re: Glass panel for a Beomaster 3500 ?

I have put this topic about stripping the grey lid's on the 3500 & 8500 to show the polished s/steel on the old forum a couple of times , I know there are other members that have done it successfully . Firstly I must STRESS these are MY experiences and I cannot guarantee what results you will get and cannot accept any responsibility for unexpected

  • Re: Beo 5 tomorrow

Hi Keith . Just got home with it and is now charging up . He knows the equipment I have and I gave him my favourite Sat channels this morning so was programmed when I got there . I got him to add the Sky Planner while I was there but doesn't work on getting home , he was scratching his head a bit to find the code required as he was doing it . First

Yes , I did look and read every word , excellent and my congratulations , very informative , liked the F.A.Q. it covered many of my queries . Just going to give my local B&o a call and give them a prod , they did say it would be ready today . I know what you say about this device generating extra revenue for them , but would also work if you could

Hello Keith . I like near Peterborough UK . Do some dealers give out the software config. program ? Be nice to change it myself . I can see problems having to take it 40 miles to update it only to find when I get home it's doesn't do what I asked for . Richard

Scratches is another problem on the products with the grey painted lids . I've striped the grey off from 2 of my 3500 and a 8500 , they have a polished finish beneath .

Hello Jantyt . I'll have a play with if for a while but knowing me I will want more , like the little Logo's , can these be assigned to favourite Sat channels like Hallmark , UK Gold ect. ? Pity the dealer can't program it over the net , USB to your computer and give him access to download to it . Richard

This problem comes up time and time again , B&o used the foam tape method of fixing glass to the plastic frame on a lot of equipment . Seams to last about 10+ years and then gradually dies , the foam not the glue , that's adheres forever as you will know if you have tried to remove it . I have re-glued nearly all of my suspect systems , 5 of

  • Beo 5 tomorrow

I am getting my Beo 5 tomorrow , I know very little about it but got to have one . It is being programmed for two different rooms ( tv , sat , dvd , stb , audio ect. ) , although I have a house full of B&o I thought this was enough for a start . Can someone give me a description of what I can do and change myself . There appears to be a few things
