Thanks, any points about uninstalling programs though? Where and how do I install a program? Thanks...

Just a quick note to say thanks for everyone's encouraging comments. I am getting more and more into this I must admit. I am smiling because I really do have to give credit to this iMAC, its bloody good, which I know must sound a ridiculous comment after a lot of what I said, but credit where credit is due. I am loving it. OK, need to acknowledge

A14BEO: @ Simon - you've hit the nail on the head with that last post... It's completely down to user preference - what makes a person choose a PC over a Mac is akin to a person choosing Pentas over BeoLab 9s - I know which ones I'd have - and wouldn't give a hoot if anyone thought differently! I think that in future it would be in everyone's

A14BEO: I've just spent the best part of 20 minutes reading the whole thread!! Clearly some passionate Mac-fans here - it's bitchier than an episode of " Desperate Housewives " in here! Flappo - my father has been working with PC's since the dawn of time (like Simon)! However, I'm 100% certain he'd have absolutely no idea

Tom is on lunch but I have asked them to give him a nudge and call me when his break is over to find out about this Administrator account. Does anyone know how to close a Boot Camp dialogue box that has been partioning

I appreciate your replies soundproof and thank you for them. I don't really want to continue too much on this subject now because I have had enough for the day, but I will pick up on a few points. I have never used a MAC before. The MAC came pre-installed with Leopard although they have since told me that it should not have done, and that they should

Klas: guys.....take a deep breath, count to then and then realise these are different experiences / opinions are having....got to be respected without getting personal.... I can relate to booth sides of the story....at the end of the day, we all love our different brands and we will defend them to the death not always seen the logic or stance from another

Flappo The Grate: " You see Alex, my gripe is with the mentaility of some MAC users who only acknowledge and help you if you agree how wonderful MACs are! Its so childish and actually they are not great at all. They have just as many issues as PCs. It is laughable at this 'must belong to a group' mentality. PC users don't bother knocking
